Let Music Heal… For you Tata

Music is a passion of mine, so powerful.

How incredible it is we can hear a song and it will bring us to a place that reminds us of something wondeful, something sad, a time in our lives that we can re-live with the song.  How incredible it is we can feel all those feelings of being back there again.

Our whole body remembers it.  Our emotions are held within our blood and our cells hold memory.  But thats a whole other blog…

So why when we are feeling down, sad or a little low, why not put on some music to let music heal….

There is nothing wrong with grieving, sadness or sorrow, it is part of life, and I am feeling it and it is OK. But I also want to remember happiness, good times and lift my spirits like my dad would with all his storytelling for those around him, making others laugh and feel joyful.

‘The meaning of life is to find your gift, the purpose of life is to give it away’ – Pablo Picasso.

My dads gift was to tell stories helping others feel good.  My gift is to communicate to the world about the power we have within… and help us to uncover our own unique story.  How wonderful, it is just now as I write this, I realise that our gifts are the same. So grateful.

Today I am missing my dad, it has only been a few weeks since he passed and my sister and I had a few songs that were part of the process of organising his farewell. It makes me feel strong, it makes me feel lifted, it makes me think of dad and want to sing because I love him.

I want to lift my spirits when I think of my dad so I listen to this song.  I want to share it because it is beautiful and I want to lift your spirits and remind you of the power of music.  My dad was not sorrowful, my dad was positive and happy, he always tried to look at the bright side and have a joke even when his luck was low. Thank you Tata for being all that you were.  To me you were shining.

Have a beautiful Sunday… Let the Light Shine In.  Angie xx
